This reflects genuine IBSA Profhilo product, clinical-level training, and a proper consultation, not a volume-led discount model.
Real Profhilo result. Skin quality, hydration and fine-line refinement after the standard 2-session course.
If you have been researching skin boosters in London, you have probably noticed that prices vary widely and so do the treatments themselves. Profhilo, Seventy Hyal, Polynucleotides, Juvederm Volite, Ejal 40: they are not the same thing. Choosing based on price alone, or booking the first clinic that comes up on Google, is how people end up disappointed with results they could have avoided.
I'm Georgina Sookias, a Clinical Aesthetician trained to Ofqual Level 4 and 5, based in Fulham SW6. I see clients from across South West London including Chelsea, Parsons Green, Putney, Wandsworth and Battersea, many of whom arrive having already researched multiple skin booster options and wanting an honest clinical opinion before committing.
This is my honest guide to Profhilo pricing in London, how it compares to other skin boosters, and most importantly, how to work out which treatment is actually right for your skin.
Profhilo is a bio-remodelling injectable treatment developed by IBSA Farmaceutici in Italy. It contains 64mg of hyaluronic acid in just 2ml, one of the highest concentrations of any injectable product available in the UK.
Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Profhilo does not add volume or change your facial structure. Instead, it spreads beneath the skin using patented NAHYCO technology and is designed to stimulate collagen and elastin production, improving skin firmness, hydration and elasticity over time.
This is what makes it fundamentally different from a standard skin booster. It is not just a hydration treatment. It is a bio-remodelling treatment that works to rebuild the skin's structural quality from within. Read more about Profhilo at my Fulham clinic.
The cost of Profhilo reflects:
At this price point, alarm bells should ring. Profhilo has a fixed product cost that makes it virtually impossible to deliver authentically at under £200 per session while covering legitimate clinic overheads. If you see Profhilo advertised significantly below £250, it is worth asking whether the product is genuine IBSA Profhilo or a cheaper hyaluronic acid alternative being marketed under a similar name. Counterfeit and grey-market injectable products are a real and growing problem in the UK aesthetics industry.
This is where most quality Profhilo treatments in London sit. Independent practitioners, boutique aesthetics clinics, and clinical aestheticians with proper training and genuine product supply chains. This is generally the sweet spot for authentic Profhilo without the central London premium.
Harley Street clinics, specialist medical aesthetic centres, Level 7 qualified doctors. Some of this pricing reflects genuinely superior expertise. Some of it reflects postcode and branding.
I offer Profhilo at my clinic in Fulham, SW6.
The course of 2 sessions is what I recommend as the standard starting protocol for most clients. The first session stimulates your skin's collagen response. The second session, four weeks later, amplifies and consolidates those results. After the initial course, most clients move to maintenance sessions every 6 months.
This is the question most guides do not answer properly. Here is my honest clinical breakdown:
This table is a starting point, not a prescription. Your skin is individual and a proper consultation will always give you a more accurate recommendation than any guide. See the full skin booster menu, or learn about polynucleotide skin regeneration and microneedling with exosomes.
A very common client I see in my Fulham clinic is in her late 30s or early 40s. She is often coming from Chelsea, Parsons Green or Putney. Her skin is not sagging badly but it feels thinner, duller and less bouncy than it used to. She does not want filler and does not want to look different. She just wants her skin to look fresher, healthier and more like her.
That is exactly where Profhilo can work beautifully.
She typically completes two sessions four weeks apart, sees a noticeable improvement in skin quality and hydration by week six, and books a maintenance session six months later. No dramatic change. No one knows she has had anything done. Just better skin.
Not sure what you need?
I will tell you honestly what I think would work best for your skin, even if that means recommending a different treatment entirely or telling you that you do not need anything yet. That is the consultation I give every client. See real client reviews.
Send a photo on WhatsAppSeventy Hyal is a hyaluronic acid skin booster frequently marketed as a comparable alternative to Profhilo at a lower price point. Seventy Hyal is not a bad product. It has its place for younger clients focused on hydration. But it is not clinically equivalent to Profhilo and positioning them as interchangeable is misleading. My honest view: if you are over 30 with laxity or skin quality concerns, Profhilo is the stronger clinical choice.
This is one of the most important comparisons in regenerative aesthetics right now and one I am increasingly asked about in my Fulham clinic. Polynucleotides (PDRN) are purified DNA fragments that work at a cellular level, stimulating fibroblast activity, promoting tissue regeneration and supporting skin repair. These two treatments are often better used together than chosen between. In regenerative aesthetics, the combination is increasingly considered the gold standard approach for meaningful, long-term skin quality improvement.
Volite is a premium skin booster from Allergan using Vycross technology. It delivers hyaluronic acid in a more localised way, remaining in the skin and acting as a long-lasting moisture reservoir. Volite is a legitimate premium option. The choice between them generally comes down to your specific skin concerns and what your practitioner recommends after a proper assessment.
Ejal 40 is a skin booster I also offer at my Fulham clinic at £200 per session or £550 for a course of 3. It is designed to improve hydration, skin texture and overall skin quality with a gentler, more gradual approach. Ejal 40 is a good option for clients who want a more gradual approach or who are not yet at the stage where they need the structural remodelling Profhilo provides.
Exosomes are cell-derived vesicles that carry growth factors and signalling proteins, used in combination with microneedling with exosomes to accelerate skin regeneration. They are not directly comparable to Profhilo as a standalone injectable, but they operate in the same regenerative space. The combination of Profhilo and microneedling with exosomes is one of the more advanced regenerative protocols available in clinical aesthetics right now.
These are fundamentally different treatments. Botox relaxes specific muscles to reduce dynamic lines. Profhilo works at the skin tissue level, improving quality, firmness and hydration without affecting muscle movement. They are not alternatives, they are complementary. I do not currently offer Botox, but if you are considering both, I am happy to advise on sequencing and refer you to a trusted prescriber.
Profhilo is not the right choice for everyone and I will always tell you honestly if I think something else would serve you better.
The standard Profhilo protocol is two sessions spaced four weeks apart. Session 1 stimulates your skin's collagen and elastin response. Session 2 amplifies and consolidates this response. Most clients see improved hydration and glow within days of the first session, with progressive firming and tightening over 4 to 8 weeks following both sessions. Full results are typically visible approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the second session. After the initial course, most clients maintain results with a single session every 6 months.
What to watch for
In most cases, yes. Profhilo's results depend on the product being genuine IBSA Profhilo, stored correctly, and administered using the correct BAP technique at the right depth. A cheaper product that is not genuine Profhilo will not produce the same bio-remodelling result. Incorrect injection technique can result in the product not dispersing correctly, leaving visible bumps or uneven results.
